Lisa is a born matchmaker. Relationships, both personal and professional, mean the world to her. So while discovering dream talent may be work to some, Lisa considers the pursuit a passion and an obsession. Her kitchen table serves as her home office, and a sacred place for spending quality downtime doing what she loves: Seeking out amazing people, enjoying good wine, and indulging in fabulous meals prepared by her husband.
“MY HUSBAND SPOILS ME ROTTEN WITH AMAZING FOOD AND BEVERAGE EXPERIENCES - HE IS MY PERSONAL CHEF. BETWEEN HIS AND MY MOM’S COOKING, FOOD PLUS FAMILY EQUALS HEAVEN.”
Home may be where Lisa’s heart is on many days, but it’s certainly not the only place. An army upbringing found Lisa and her family living in a total of nine states and three different countries. Lisa graduated high school from Jakarta International School (now Jakarta Intercultural School) in Indonesia. And her globetrotting was just beginning.
Lisa’s parents encouraged her to continue traveling and experiencing the world. And thanks to her consistent, early-life exposure to new places, Lisa deeply appreciates other cultures and environments. Adapting to them, soaking them in completely. Making herself at home. A love for travel is a gift that Lisa’s parents passed down to her. Now, Lisa’s passed the same love along to her son, continuing the tradition.
“TRAVELING PROVIDES AN AMAZING OPPORTUNITY TO SEE NEW PLACES THROUGH A DIFFERENT LENS. EVEN REVISITING THE SAME LOCATION CAN BECOME A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE, A NEW ADVENTURE, BECAUSE OF THE PEOPLE YOU’RE WITH.”
Wherever she may be, Lisa knows only great things happen when we surround ourselves with positive people. That’s only part of what motivates her to find the good ones, the kind, whip-smart people who genuinely love hospitality. Those always ready to serve and to grow.
“IT’S IMPORTANT TO APPROACH EVERY INDIVIDUAL WITH A GENUINE INTEREST IN LEARNING THEIR STORY.”
Lisa’s knack for pinpointing stellar qualities in people, then helping those people grow to the next level is more of a superpower than a talent. And while Lisa may say she’s found her dream job here, to us, watching Lisa work her magic is the real dream.
